Just a normal day of shopping at the 0101 Maru Ichi gothic lolita shopping mall.

Apple Store in Ginza, Tokyo. Strangest part? The similarity to every US Apple store you’ve ever visited. I felt like I was visiting bizarro land.

Back in Tokyo on Friday.

Seen in train station leaving Hakuba. “The toilet is not a big ashtray.”

Spent two days snowboarding at Hakuba Gyaru. Despite one morning of bad weather, we enjoyed good snow and few people on the slopes.

Some Shinkansen love. Wednesday, jumped on the bullet train and headed west to Hakuba in the Japanese Alps outside Nagano.

Visited Dynamo an awesome isakaya-skateshop hybrid in north Koenji owned by a French former pro-skateboarder, for some drinks and falafel/vege burritos. Definitely check out the really impressive collection of skateboard decks if you’re in the area.

Out in front of the Chocolate Chiwawa sits a toy vending machine with all sorts of crazy items like miniature fake severed limbs and fetuses. [Insert dead baby joke here].

Next up: Chocolate Chiwawa, a vintage clothing shop specializing in the weird.

Headed out west to Koenji and stepped into a Pachinko Parlour to see what all the hype is about.
